In Their OWn Words – The Reviews Are In
It all began in an AirBnB with a bucket of ice, a tall boy of Coors Light, and a firm belief that an ice cold beer in a shower is one of life’s most simple yet decadent pleasures. David Aiken is a man of completion. A man who never leaves anything half finished. It’s all or nothing with Dave, so imagine my surprise when he mentioned he had never experienced a true honest-to-god-end-of-the-day shower beer. For better or worse, I was honoured to be the one to show him the light and in return, he presented me with the Dan Craig Shower Lager, showing me another light, this time of his own.
And- light it is. But there’s beauty in simplicity. A clean, simple, lager to be earned and enjoyed after sweating your face off through three grimy street shows or battling for the beer league championship with the boys. It goes toe-to-toe with the major Japanese lagers it was modeled after – but offers significantly more personality: the golden promise malt, the home-grown hops, the distinctive carbonation, the light ABV together are the perfect way to reward yourself after you’ve earned it. Admittedly, there are other styles of beer that may be considered more “layered”, but if refreshment, a clean, light taste, and a little bite from the CO2 are what you’re looking for (as I generally am)- this is one of the best beers on the planet.
This is a beer you can’t help but drink quickly. After all, you deserve it.
(And there’s always another..!)
